As you would know, the Frequently Asked Questions on Homeopathy or so-called FAQs can be found answered on any Homeopathic website and so much more on an internet search. Let me see how this page can be a little different!

Not so-frequently asked questions?

Firstly, these are the questions that have come to my mind perhaps, as a student of homoeopathy and now as a practitioner. I have always had a lot of questions and it continues. I came across this recently, “The only dumb question is the one you haven’t asked yet”! How interesting!
Secondly, these are the answers I have got. I would like you to test them in the laboratory of your consciousness and see if you have a similar awareness or even better. Communicate your ideas once it’s clear and reproducible for you.

Going forward, I would like to have some ‘Out-of-the-Box’ questions and answers here. Let’s get going!

i. How is Homeopathy different from other streams of medicine like Allopathy, Ayurvedha, Siddha, Unani, Naturopathy and others?
ii. “Homeopathy cures, but slowly”.. is this true?
iii. How does Homeopathy work in simple terms?

The list is sure to grow..

i. How is Homeopathy different from other streams of medicine like Allopathy, Ayurvedha, Siddha, Unani, Naturopathy and others?

Homeopathy has a holistic approach to disease and health. The approach is to look at the man in disease rather than the disease itself. Dr.Hahnemann says in the Organon, “the symptoms are the outwardly reflected picture of the internal essence of the disease, i.e., of the affection of the vital force”.

Hence, we look at the totality of symptoms, not only of the body, but also of the mind. We first complete the picture of the man in disease and then match it with a remedy picture.

This chosen remedy or Similimum as it is called, when administered to the patient, helps the vital force to help itself.

ii. “Homeopathy cures, but slowly”.. is this true?

This may really be an FAQ on the Homeopathic way of cure. The right homeopathic remedy or similimum helps the vital force to shift to a state of health. The time taken for the homeopathic cure firstly changes from one individual to another. Secondly, it depends on the severity of the disease condition. Thirdly, relapses are also likely to happen and need to be considered. Lastly and most importantly, on the duration the illness has lasted, especially in chronic diseases.

So, by rule, acute diseases should recover sooner than the chronic diseases. In the second aphorism of the Organon, the founder of Homeopathy Dr.Hahnemann says,

“The highest ideal of cure is rapid, gentle and permanent restoration of the health, or removal and annihilation of the disease in its whole extent, in the shortest, most reliable, and most harmless way, on easily comprehensible principles”.

iii. How does Homeopathy work in simple terms?

The great Albert Einstein said,

“Everything is energy and that’s all there is to it.
Match the frequency of the reality you want, and you cannot help but get that reality. It can be no other way. This is not philosophy, this is physics.”

The Homeopathic Similimum

When I apply this to the Homeopathic principles, what is the reality in front of the homoeopath?.. the diseased state and that has a frequency. I have to match that frequency with the frequency of the right remedy (the similimum).
The right frequency of cure is thus determined by finding the right remedy and giving it in the right potency. What a great science this is when we understand the number of frequencies we have in the remedies and how they are increased manyfold with the numerous potencies.
That’s the greatest challenge to the Homeopath. It’s actually not that simple 🙂

In the following video, the great scientist, emphasizes the fact that mass and energy are both different manifestations of the same thing. He then goes on to say that, “A very small amount of mass may be converted into a very large amount of energy and vice versa”.
